P3B enjoyed the ICT suite this morning.
We were reading over our interviews with our grandparents (as part of our homework for Catholic Schools' Week).
The children were learning to use the information they had gathered to type their sentences about their granny or granda using Just 2 Easy Communication Software. Their word processing skills and keyboard skills were truly impressive.
Some children were able to swap over and use the i-pads to code their character (Sprite) to make a square, using the coding program, 'Scratch Junior'. This was a good opportunity to link and connect our learning and recall of '2D Shape' facts.
The children enjoyed choosing their character (sprite) and changing the background.
It was lovely listening to some children talking about and describing what they had made and using the required directional language. Fantastic work boys and girls in P3B.
In P.E. today the children had an opportunity to balance and move in gymnastics. They had fun travelling on the ropes and climbing the bars.
They also learned to move and balance on different body parts.
It was a busy day indeed. Well done to our amazing P3Bs!
